| Obverse description | Bare-headed or laureate bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, draped and cuirassed, rendered in the characteristic high-relief style of the Hadrianic period. The imperial effigy displays finely articulated drapery folds over the shoulder and traces of a cuirass at the truncation. The surrounding Latin legend is arranged clockwise around the periphery of the flan. The coin exhibits a dark olive-green patina with areas of reddish-brown highlighting the high points of the relief, consistent with excavated Roman bronze coinage of the early second century AD. |
