| Reverse description | The personification of Felicitas, goddess of good fortune and prosperity, depicted standing in full figure facing left, clad in a long flowing stola. She extends her right hand forward holding an olive branch as a symbol of peace and abundance, while her left hand holds a tall caduceus — the staff of Mercury — resting against her shoulder, symbolising commerce and divine favour. The S C monogram (Senatus Consultum) appears in the lower field to either side of the figure, authorising the bronze coinage by senatorial decree. The surrounding legend FELICITAS AVG is disposed around the periphery. |
