| Obverse description | Laureate bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, depicted with characteristic short beard and draped paludamentum over the left shoulder. The effigy is rendered in the mature, classicising style characteristic of Hadrianic imperial portraiture. The circumferential Latin legend HADRIANVS AVG COS III P P runs around the periphery of the flan. The coin is heavily patinated with a thick green encrustation obscuring fine detail, though the bust type and surrounding legend remain partially legible. |
