She holds a legionary standard (vexillum or signum) in one hand and the curved Dacian falx in the other, symbolising the conquered province and its native military tradition. Her foot may rest upon a helmet, further evoking Roman dominion over the region. The senatus consultum mark S C appears prominently in the field, flanking the central type, with the legend DACIA disposed around the periphery within a dotted border. |
