| Obverse description | Bare-headed, draped bust of Hadrian facing right, depicted with his characteristic short curly hair and close-cropped beard, the paludamentum visible at the truncation. The imperial effigy is rendered in high relief against a smooth field, conveying the naturalistic portraiture style favored under the Hadrianic court workshops. A beaded border frames the entire design. The encircling Latin legend reads HADRIANVS AVGVSTVS. |
