| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, rendered in high relief with the paludamentum visible over the left shoulder as seen from the rear. The imperial effigy displays the characteristic Hadrianic portrait style with a full beard and closely cropped curled hair beneath the laurel wreath. The circumferential Latin legend HADRIANVS AVGVSTVS runs along the outer rim, encircling the portrait. The flan is slightly irregular, consistent with hand-struck Roman bronze coinage of the period. |
