| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Hadrian facing left, rendered in high relief with characteristic beard and curled hair typical of Hadrianic portraiture. The imperial effigy displays a paludamentum fastened at the right shoulder, visible at the bust truncation. The encircling Latin legend reads HADRIANVS AVG COS III P P, distributed around the periphery of the flan. The die work is confident and typical of the Rome mint output during Hadrian's later provincial travel series. |
