Before her stands a lighted and garlanded altar upon which leans a lighted torch resting on a bucranium, symbolising sacrificial ritual and divine protection. The composition conveys the ideological message of imperial security and stability under Nero's rule. The reverse legend and senatorial authority mark SC are distributed in the field. |
