Obverse description Radiate bust of Nero facing left, portrayed with youthful features, short hair rendered in fine parallel striations beneath the radiate crown, and a short beard. The emperor is depicted bare-necked in a relatively plain style characteristic of early Neronian coinage. The encircling legend runs clockwise in well-spaced Latin capitals around the periphery of the flan, beginning at the lower left.
