| Reverse description | Central field bears the large senatorial authorisation mark S C (Senatus Consulto), signifying that this bronze coinage was issued by authority of the Roman Senate. The surrounding circular legend carries the full titulature of the emperor Titus, arranged in two concentric lines around the S C monogram. The legend is rendered in sharply incised Latin capitals within a beaded border. The overall design follows the standard Flavian dupondius reverse format for the restoration series of AD 80–81. |
