Obverse description Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Hadrian facing right, the radiate crown identifying the coin's dupondius denomination. The emperor's beard is rendered in fine detail, characteristic of Hadrianic portraiture. The encircling Latin legend runs along the coin's rim within a beaded border. The effigy displays the high-relief sculptural quality typical of early second-century Roman imperial coinage from the Rome mint.

Reverse description Pietas, veiled and draped, standing right before a lighted altar, raising her right hand in a gesture of devotion and holding a box of incense in her left hand. The personification of Pietas embodies the Roman virtue of dutiful reverence toward the gods and the state. The senatorial authority mark S C (Senatus Consultum) appears prominently in the field, flanking the central figure. The reverse legend is distributed around the periphery within a beaded border, referencing the emperor's piety as a cornerstone of his public image.
