Obverse description Bare-headed, laureate bust of Emperor Galba facing right, rendered with strong portraiture typical of the Flavian transitional period, displaying aged facial features with a prominent nose and short beard. The effigy is executed in high relief against a smooth field, with the laureate wreath clearly articulated across the brow. The encircling legend reads IMP SER GALBA AVG TR P, distributed around the obverse field within a beaded border. The portrait captures Galba's characteristic physiognomy as known from sculptural parallels, lending the coin strong individualistic character.

Reverse description The personification of Pax stands facing left in full figure, draped in flowing robes rendered in fine detail. She extends her right hand forward, offering an olive branch, while her left hand holds a caduceus upright at her side — both attributes emblematic of peace and divine favour. The senatorial abbreviation S C (Senatus Consulto) appears in the field to either side of the central figure, affirming the bronze coinage's authorisation by the Senate. The reverse legend PAX AVGVST arcs around the upper periphery within a beaded border, associating the Augustan peace directly with Galba's short reign.
