Obverse description Radiate bust of Emperor Domitian facing right, wearing a turreted or radiate crown, depicted with draped shoulders. The imperial effigy is rendered in the provincial style characteristic of Caesarea Maritima. The encircling Latin legend reads IMP CAES DOMIT AVG GERM PM TR P XI, identifying the emperor by his titles and tribunician power year. The bust is set within a dotted border. The portraiture reflects the somewhat coarse but vigorous engraving typical of this eastern provincial mint.
