Obverse description Radiate bust of Domitian facing right, depicted with aegis or paludamentum, the radiate crown clearly distinguishing the denomination as a dupondius. The imperial effigy is rendered in the robust portraiture style characteristic of Flavian coinage. A circular legend surrounds the bust, reading in Latin along the coin's periphery. The flan shows the characteristic irregular edge typical of struck bronze issues of the period.
