Obverse description Radiate, draped bust of Emperor Domitian facing right, wearing an aegis on the shoulder, rendered in the Flavian portrait style characteristic of his later coinage. The emperor's effigy is boldly struck in high relief, with the radiate crown denoting the dupondius denomination. The encircling Latin legend is distributed around the periphery of the flan. The portrait conveys imperial authority through strong, defined facial features consistent with official Domitianic portraiture of the mid-80s AD.
