Reverse description The winged goddess Victoria strides dynamically to the left across the field, her drapery billowing behind her in fluid folds indicative of rapid motion. She carries a large round shield inscribed S P Q R, which she sets upon a low base or globe in the lower left field. The senatorial authority marks S C (Senatus Consultum) flank the central figure to left and right at mid-field. The reverse legend is disposed around the periphery of the coin within a beaded border, referencing the restitution of the Augustan coinage by Domitian.
