| Reverse description | The imperial double-headed eagle of Saxony displayed with wings spread wide, wearing an electoral crown atop both heads, and bearing a shield on its breast; the eagle holds a sword or sceptre in its talons. In the upper field, the Latin motto legend arcs across the top of the coin, while in the lower exergue, separated by a horizontal line, a three-line Latin inscription records the vicariate commission and the Roman numeral date MDCCXLV. The composition is bold and heraldic, executed in the high-relief Baroque engraving tradition of the Dresden Mint. |
