Obverse description Armored and draped bust of King Stefan Batory facing right, wearing an elaborate crown adorned with fleurs-de-lis and cross finial, with a ruffled collar visible at the neck. The effigy displays fine detail in the facial features, beard, and ornate plate armor. A beaded inner circle frames the portrait, with the Latin royal legend distributed around the periphery within a beaded border.
