Reverse description The reverse presents a five-line Latin inscription, AUREUS NUMMUS POLONIAE ANNO / [date] / E·B, elegantly enclosed within a wreath of laurel branches tied at the base with a ribbon bow, the engraver's initials E·B appearing below the wreath knot. The inscription, meaning 'Gold coin of Poland, in the year [date]', fills the entire central field in bold, well-spaced lettering characteristic of the Warsaw Mint's production under Poniatowski. The wreath is finely detailed, with individual leaves rendered in relief. The overall design is austere and dignified, consistent with Enlightenment-era numismatic aesthetics. No exergue line is present, the date and mint-master initials serving as the sole chronological and attributive elements.
