| Obverse description | Central device consisting of the royal cipher 'SAR' (Stanislaus Augustus Rex) in elaborate interlaced monogram form, surmounted by a royal crown. The monogram is set within a radiant eight-pointed star composed of stylized flame-like rays emanating in all directions, filling the field. The border is formed by a plain inner ring with a beaded outer rim. The design is executed in high relief with fine engraving characteristic of Warsaw Mint coinage of the Enlightenment period. |
