Obverse description Armored bust of King John III Sobieski facing right, wearing an ornate closed royal crown with cross finial and jewelled band. The effigy is rendered in high relief, depicting the king in elaborate plate armor with articulated pauldrons and gorget details visible at the shoulder and neck.
