Obverse description Central device features the arms of Schwyz — a vertically divided shield bearing a cross — supported by a rampant lion to the right, the whole flanked by an elaborate wreath of laurel branches. Above the shield, a key and a sword are crossed in saltire. The composition rests on a decorative foliate base, rendered in high relief in the late Baroque style. A mintmaster's initial 'F' appears in the lower exergue. The coin's milled edge with fine reeding is visible at the rim.
