Reverse description The crowned shield of the United Provinces, bearing the quartered arms of the seven provinces, is centrally positioned and supported on each side by a crowned rampant lion. Beneath the central shield, set within an ornate cartouche, appears the civic arms of Amsterdam as the issuing mint city. The entire composition is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, with the date 1673 prominently placed at the top of the field flanked by floret ornaments. The encircling legend reads CONCORDIA · RES · PARVÆ · CRESCUNT.
