Obverse description A fully armored cavalier — the classic 'Silver Rider' type — depicted on a charging horse moving to the right, brandishing a drawn sword aloft in his right hand. The arms of Holland appear beneath the horse in the lower field. The entire design is contained within a beaded inner circle. The surrounding legend is separated by small ornamental stops and reads MON · NOV · ARG · CONF · BELG · PROV · HOLL, completed by a floret ornament.
