Reverse description The crowned heraldic arms of the United Provinces occupy the central field, displayed on a shield with elaborately decorated supporters consisting of a crowned lion rampant on each side. The date of issue appears above the crowned shield. The entire composition is enclosed by the provincial motto rendered in a continuous Latin legend around the periphery, reflecting the confederate identity shared among the Seven Provinces.
