Obverse description Draped bust of Abbot Placidus von Zurlauben in right-facing profile, attired in simple monastic mantle and zucchetto, with a pectoral cross visible at the chest. The effigy is rendered in high relief with fine portraiture characteristic of early 18th-century Swiss ecclesiastical coinage. A continuous Latin legend encircles the bust within the outer border of the field.
