| Reverse description | Central device features a crowned double-headed eagle displayed, with wings spread, holding an orb in the left talon and a sceptre in the right, with a shield on its breast. The date 1712 appears to the left of the eagle and the mint officer initials D-L appear below, flanking the base of the eagle. The Cyrillic legend reading 'Autocrat of All Russia' runs around the periphery of the field. The overall design closely follows the Dutch ducat type adapted for Russian imperial use under Peter I's monetary reforms. |
