| Obverse description | Draped bust of Maximilian Henry of Bavaria facing right, depicted in ecclesiastical robes with a clerical collar, his hair falling in loose curls to the shoulder in the baroque fashion. The effigy is rendered in high relief with fine portraiture detail typical of 17th-century Low Countries coinage. The circumferential Latin legend runs along the upper rim, while the date 1670 appears in the lower field beneath the bust. The coin's edge is bordered by a beaded inner circle. |
