Obverse description Draped bust of Gustav II Adolf facing right, depicted within a beaded inner circle. The effigy shows the king in armour with a ruffled collar, rendered in the hammered style typical of early seventeenth-century German civic coinage. A circular legend in Latin surrounds the portrait, running between the inner beaded circle and the outer border of the round die area. The entire composition is struck on a square klippe flan with the circular die impression centred within the angular field.

Reverse description Central field displays the crowned arms of Elbing — a spread eagle — within a beaded inner circle. A continuous Latin legend surrounds the central device, reading MONETA ELBINGENSIS with the date 1630 incorporated into the inscription. The design is characteristic of Swedish-occupied Elbing civic coinage, struck on a square klippe flan, with the circular reverse die centred on the angular planchet leaving plain corners visible beyond the legend.
