Obverse description Elaborate quartered coat of arms of the della Rovere dynasty surmounted by a ducal crown, occupying the central field. The shield is divided into four quarters displaying the heraldic devices of the della Rovere family, including a displayed eagle, diagonal bends, crossed keys, and fleurs-de-lis, with an oak tree motif visible in the upper-right quarter. The arms are rendered in fine relief characteristic of Renaissance Italian hammered coinage. A circular legend in Latin surrounds the shield, reading the title of Guidobaldo II as fourth Duke of Urbino, separated by pellets.
