Reverse description A fire altar (atasdan) flanked by two attendants standing facing forward, the altar column decorated with ribbons whose ends point upward. A star appears to the left of the altar and a crescent to the right within the inner field; four crescent-and-star ornaments are symmetrically arranged in the outer field. A triple border encircles the entire reverse design, typical of late Sasanian coin production.
