Reverse description A fully open rose with bud to the right, the civic emblem of Rhodes, rendered in detailed relief at center. Above the rose appears the magistrate's name XAΛINOΣ, while the ethnic abbreviation P-O flanks the stem to left and right respectively. To the lower left of the rose, a wing device serves as a subsidiary control mark. The entire design is contained within a shallow square incuse (plinthophoron), a hallmark of the Rhodian drachm series of this period.
