Obverse description Facing right, the busts of Wahram II and his consort are depicted in high relief within a beaded border. The king wears an elaborate Sasanian crown surmounted by a globe and animal crest, with long curled hair and a full beard, his shoulders draped in royal regalia. To the right, the queen faces left in a smaller, subsidiary bust, wearing her own distinctive crown. An Inscriptional Pahlavi legend appears in the field, identifying the royal pair. The composition reflects the dynastic double-portrait type characteristic of Wahram II coinage.
