| Reverse description | The archer type reverse depicts the king enthroned, seated right upon a throne, holding a bow in his outstretched hand. A monogram (Sellwood monogram 26) appears below the bow in the field. The surrounding legend is a blundered and increasingly degenerate form of a Greek inscription, with an Aramaic legend occupying the upper register; this combination reflects the transitional epigraphic conventions of late Parthian coinage. |
