| Obverse description | Bearded male effigy in right-facing profile, wearing a distinctive satrapal or royal headdress adorned with a diadem. The beard is rendered with considerable detail in the form of tightly clustered curls, characteristic of the Persis dynastic portraiture tradition. A small star or pellet appears in the right field. The portrait displays strong Hellenistic stylistic influence typical of the post-Achaemenid Persis coinage of this period. |
