Obverse description Radiate head of Helios facing three-quarters to right, depicted in youthful, idealised style characteristic of Rhodian coinage. The solar crown radiates prominently from the deity's hair, rendered in fine flowing locks swept back from the face. The portrait exhibits strong modelling of the facial features, with a high-bridged nose, slightly parted lips, and a serene expression. The field is smooth and unlettered, with the design filling the flan in the bold, accomplished style of the plintophoric series.
