Obverse description Laureate head of Tiberius facing right, rendered in the Hellenistic portrait tradition with finely detailed laurel wreath and naturalistic facial features. The legend, arranged in a circular band around the portrait, reads ΤΙΒΕΡΙΟϹ ΚΑΙϹΑΡ ϹΕΒΑϹΤΟϹ Ε ΚΟΡ ΛΥ, identifying the emperor and his local magistrate Cornelius Lupus. The die-work is characteristic of provincial Greek coinage of the early Imperial period, with an irregular flan typical of hammered production.
