Obverse description Laureate bust of Emperor Tiberius facing right, rendered in finely detailed relief characteristic of early Imperial portraiture. The emperor is depicted with a wreath of laurel secured about the head, and a draped shoulder visible at the bust truncation. The surrounding field carries the imperial titulature legend, reading clockwise from the lower left. The portrait conveys the austere, idealized realism typical of Tiberian coinage struck at the Caesarean mint.
