Obverse description Radiate head of Helios facing three-quarters right, rendered in fine Hellenistic style with flowing, deeply striated hair swept back beneath the radiating crown; the facial features are finely modeled with a straight nose, parted lips, and naturalistic musculature characteristic of the Rhodian plintophoric series. The neck is bare, and the portrait displays the idealized solar divinity iconography standard to Rhodian coinage of this period.
