| Obverse description | Radiate head of Helios facing three-quarters right, rendered in fine Hellenistic style with flowing locks of hair falling about the neck and a prominent sunburst corona of rays emanating from the crown of the head. The facial features are carefully modelled with a strong profile, aquiline nose, and parted lips. The flan is irregular, as typical of hammered plintophoric drachms of the Rhodian series. No legend appears on the obverse. |
