Reverse description The reverse bears a Brahmi legend in two lines reading 'srimadadi / varaha', the royal epithet of the Pratihara ruler, struck in bold raised characters across the central field. The inscription is set against a cross or grid-like background formed by incuse dividing lines, a diagnostic feature of this dramma type. Additional symbolic elements, including pellets or annulets, appear to the right of the legend, consistent with auxiliary marks observed throughout the Maheshwari typology. The Brahmi characters are angular and somewhat stylised, reflecting the lapidary hand of the die-cutter rather than a manuscript tradition. The flan edges are irregular and show typical clipping or trimming associated with weight adjustment in this series.
