Obverse description Stylized bust of the king facing right, rendered in the late Gupta provincial manner with schematic facial features. The effigy is surrounded by a dotted border, with cursory linear detailing suggesting hair or a headdress. The design is characteristically abstract, reflecting the debased artistic style of Skandagupta's western satrapy coinage. The field is irregular and slightly convex, consistent with hand-struck silver drachms of this series.
