| Reverse description | A Zoroastrian fire altar with stepped base and prominent ribbons or streamers flowing from its sides occupies the centre of the field. Two royal attendants, each clad in court dress and wearing a mural crown, stand facing inward as guardians of the sacred flame. The fravahr (Ahura Mazda symbol) and a taurus (bull's head) device flank the flames above the altar, serving as divine and dynastic emblems. A single pellet is placed at the base of the altar. A Pahlavi inscription identifying the mint and regnal year runs in the left and right fields, all enclosed within a beaded border. |
