| Obverse description | Diademed and draped bust of Shapur I facing right, adorned with a mural crown fitted with lateral ear flaps and surmounted by the characteristic korymbos — a globular hair mass encased in a fabric covering. The effigy is rendered in the high-relief Sasanian court style, with fine drapery detail visible at the shoulder. An inscriptional Pahlavi legend surrounds the bust within the circular field. |
