Obverse description Diademed bust of the bearded king facing left, wearing a close-fitting decorated headdress adorned with dotted rays above and fitted with ear pieces and posterior streamers. The effigy is rendered in the late Parthian provincial style, with bold facial features characteristic of Indo-Parthian coinage. An Inscriptional Pahlavi legend appears in the field behind the royal bust, providing a partial royal titulary abbreviation.

Reverse description The archer king — a Parthian dynastic type — is depicted seated right upon a throne or omphalos, drawing or holding a bow. A mint monogram appears below the bow in the lower field. The surrounding Greek legend, rendered in a progressively debased script characteristic of late Indo-Parthian issues, varies slightly between die varieties and includes the royal titulary of Sanabares in abbreviated and full forms distributed around the figure.
