| Reverse description | The reverse features the standard Western Satrap reverse type: a stylised representation of a three-arched chaitya hill symbol in the centre of the field. A lengthy dedicatory legend in Brahmi script encircles the central device, reading in full: rajno mahaksatrapasa rudradamnaputrasa rajno mahaksatrapasa rudrasihasa, identifying the issuer as the Great Satrap Rudrasimha, son of Rudradaman. The flan is irregular in shape, as is typical of hammered issues of this series. |
