| Obverse description | Jugate busts of Rabbel II and Gamilat facing right, rendered in the schematic Nabataean style characteristic of late first-century coinage from Petra. The king's bust appears in the foreground, with the queen's bust partially visible behind. Nabataean legend רבאל מלכא ('Rabbel the King') inscribed in the field to the right of the effigies. The portrait style is stylized rather than naturalistic, consistent with the artistic conventions of the Nabataean mint. |
