| Obverse description | Head of the nymph Sinope facing three-quarters to the left, rendered in fine archaic-transitional Greek style with carefully detailed hair swept back and secured, wearing a necklace or earring visible at the neck. The facial features are sensitively modeled with almond-shaped eye, straight nose, and softly parted lips. The portrait is enclosed within a dotted border, with a scattering of pellets arranged in the left field. The flan is broad and slightly irregular, characteristic of late Classical Pontic coinage. |

| Reverse description | An eagle, wings spread, standing to the left atop a dolphin swimming to the right, the two together forming the civic emblem of Sinope. The eagle grasps the dolphin with its talons and turns its head back to the left. The magistrate's name ΠΥΘΙΠ (for Pythippos) appears in Greek letters above in the upper field, while the ethnic ΣΙΝΩ (abbreviation of ΣΙΝΩΠΗ) is inscribed in the lower field below the dolphin. The composition fills the flan dynamically, consistent with late fourth-century Sinopean coinage style. |
