Reverse description Arsakes I, the legendary founder of the Parthian dynasty, seated in three-quarter view to the right upon an omphalos throne, holding a strung bow in his right hand — the enduring dynastic symbol of Parthian sovereignty. The archer motif, a constant feature of Arsacid coinage, evokes both martial prowess and dynastic continuity. A monogram appears in the lower field beneath the bow, serving as a mint or workshop identifier. The composition is contained within a dotted border, consistent with Sellwood type 57 issues attributed to the Ecbatana mint.
