| Obverse description | Cow standing to right in profile, head turned back to left to regard a suckling calf positioned below; a club appears in the left field and a grain ear in the right field, with a bunch of grapes occupying the exergue. The bovine group is rendered in a naturalistic style characteristic of Illyrian coinage of this period. The magistrate's name ΦIΛΩTAΣ is inscribed in the field, identifying the issuing authority. |
