Reverse description Zeus Aëtophoros enthroned in left-facing profile upon a low stool-throne, his body draped from the waist, the right arm extended forward presenting an eagle with spread wings, and the left hand resting on a tall sceptre. In the left field a pomegranate symbol appears above, and the letter Λ (lambda) is placed below the throne as a mint or die control mark. The Greek legend ΦΙΛΙΠΠΟΥ runs along the right field, identifying the coin as issued in the name of Philip (III).
